THE BRAND ORIGINAL
Effective Date: 08.07.2026

At THE BRAND ORIGINAL, authenticity is fundamental to our business. We understand that our clients rely on us when purchasing luxury goods and consigning valuable items. For that reason, we have established procedures designed to help ensure that every item offered for sale has undergone an authenticity review process before being listed for sale.

This Authenticity Policy explains our authentication practices, limitations, and commitments to both buyers and consignors.

1. OUR COMMITMENT

THE BRAND ORIGINAL is committed to offering authentic luxury goods.

We do not knowingly accept, market, advertise, or sell counterfeit merchandise.

Every item accepted for sale is subject to an authenticity review before being offered to customers.

2. ITEMS SUBJECT TO AUTHENTICATION

Authentication procedures may be applied to:

  • handbags;

  • wallets;

  • luggage;

  • watches;

  • jewelry;

  • accessories;

  • footwear;

  • apparel;

  • collectible luxury items;

  • other branded merchandise.

The level of authentication may vary depending on:

  • item category;

  • brand;

  • value;

  • rarity;

  • condition;

  • available documentation.

3. AUTHENTICATION METHODS

THE BRAND ORIGINAL may utilize one or more authentication methods, including:

  • in-house expertise;

  • physical inspection;

  • serial number verification;

  • date code verification;

  • hardware inspection;

  • stitching analysis;

  • material inspection;

  • provenance review;

  • comparison with known authentic examples;

  • review of purchase documentation;

  • independent third-party authentication services.

The authentication method used may vary from item to item.

4. THIRD-PARTY AUTHENTICATION

For many luxury items, particularly higher-value items, THE BRAND ORIGINAL may utilize independent third-party authentication providers.

Such providers may issue:

  • certificates of authenticity;

  • authentication reports;

  • digital authentication records;

  • expert opinions.

THE BRAND ORIGINAL may rely upon such authentication findings as part of its authentication process.

5. HIGH-VALUE ITEMS

As a general practice, luxury items of significant value may undergo enhanced authentication procedures.

THE BRAND ORIGINAL reserves the right to require third-party authentication for any item at its discretion.

Additional authentication requirements may apply to:

  • Hermès;

  • Chanel;

  • Louis Vuitton;

  • Dior;

  • Rolex;

  • Cartier;

  • Van Cleef & Arpels;

  • Patek Philippe;

  • other high-value luxury brands.

6. CONSIGNOR RESPONSIBILITIES

Every consignor represents and warrants that:

  • the item is authentic;

  • the item is lawfully owned;

  • all information provided is accurate;

  • all supporting documentation is genuine.

Consignors remain responsible for false statements regarding authenticity or ownership.

7. RIGHT TO REFUSE ITEMS

THE BRAND ORIGINAL reserves the right to refuse any item if:

  • authenticity cannot be reasonably established;

  • documentation is insufficient;

  • ownership concerns exist;

  • authenticity concerns remain unresolved.

Acceptance of an item for review does not guarantee acceptance for sale.

8. DISCOVERY OF AUTHENTICITY ISSUES

If authenticity concerns arise before sale, THE BRAND ORIGINAL may:

  • refuse the item;

  • remove the item from inventory;

  • request additional documentation;

  • require additional authentication;

  • terminate the consignment relationship.

9. CUSTOMER CONFIDENCE

THE BRAND ORIGINAL stands behind its authentication process and makes commercially reasonable efforts to ensure that every item offered for sale is authentic.

Our authentication procedures are designed to provide customers with confidence when purchasing luxury goods through THE BRAND ORIGINAL.

10. AUTHENTICITY QUESTIONS AFTER PURCHASE

If a customer raises a good-faith authenticity concern after purchase, THE BRAND ORIGINAL will review the concern and may request:

  • photographs;

  • supporting documentation;

  • expert opinions;

  • inspection of the item.

Each case will be reviewed individually and in good faith.

11. LIMITATIONS OF AUTHENTICATION

Authentication is based on professional judgment, available information, and industry practices at the time of review.

Luxury brands regularly modify manufacturing methods, serial number systems, materials, and production details.

Accordingly, authentication is not an exact science and may involve expert opinion.

12. FRAUD PREVENTION

THE BRAND ORIGINAL reserves the right to cooperate with:

  • authentication providers;

  • luxury brands;

  • legal authorities;

  • law enforcement agencies;

when counterfeit goods or fraudulent activity are suspected.

13. GOVERNING LAW

This Policy shall be governed by the laws of the State of Florida.
